“A world where no family walks the journey of disability alone.”
“Adonai House is a registered non profit, Christ-centered organization dedicated to families caring for loved ones with severe disabilities. We address the isolation and burnout these families face by providing emotional support, resources, and creating a community to ensure no family walks this journey alone.”
There is a heartbreaking shortage of special needs care centres and support services in our region. As parents of children with profound disabilities, we’ve lived this reality. The mental, emotional, and physical toll affects the entire family—especially siblings.
That’s why we’ve made it our mission to walk alongside these families. Our support includes:
· Parent and sibling support groups
· Therapy Access for our disabled children and adults
· Practical referrals and a dedicated helpline
· A growing community built on solidarity and hope
Our long-term vision is to open a care centre in the greater Blouberg area—offering the professional, compassionate care these families desperately need.
“You are not alone. We’re here to help, support, and guide you—every step of the way.”
At Adonai House, we believe that disability does not define worth. Every child, regardless of their challenges, carries unique value and untapped potential. They deserve the chance to be seen, celebrated, and supported.
That’s why we’re here: to create spaces where children with profound intellectual disabilities are not only cared for but encouraged to thrive. Through nurturing support, connection, and understanding, we help families uncover the light in every child.
Together, we can build a world where every child is recognised for who they are—not for what they lack.
If you share that belief, we invite you to join us.
"Hello everyone, I am the mother of a son with Down syndrome, Paulo. I was so stressed about what would become of him if I were to go before him. A friend told me to contact Kasey from Adonai House. I couldn’t believe it when I called Kasey and shared my worries and concerns with her. She immediately made me feel so calm. I don’t live near Adonai House, so I was greatly surprised when I received a package from her with essentials for my son and for me as well. She provides for so many of us mothers with children with disabilities on a regular basis. When there is a need, Kasey is there. I know her burden is also heavy, but she doesn’t think about that — or at least it doesn’t seem that way to me. Many times I know that even if she doesn’t have the funds to provide for our needs, she somehow finds a way, but no one is ever sent away empty-handed. We mothers encourage each other. We cry together and pray together, but without Kasey and Adonai House, it felt like being in a pit. Yet she comes to pull us out with all her support for our needs. Kasey, I just want to say thank you again for everything you do for all of us. May there always be provision for Adonai House — without it, we are lost. 🤗 "
"My name is Judith Manda, and I’m the mother of a 9-year-old autistic son, Tinaye Nyere. Adonai House has had a significant impact on my life. Since receiving Tinaye’s Level 3 autism diagnosis, I’ve become a full-time caregiver, which means I can’t work. Unfortunately, my husband is also unemployed. Adonai House has been a tremendous support to us. We regularly receive care packages, which help provide food for our family. I also sell second-hand clothing that Kasey kindly gives to me, which helps us cover household essentials. Whenever I feel down, stressed, or overwhelmed, I know that Adonai House is just a phone call away. If anything were to happen to my son, I can count on their support. My depression has also improved, thanks to the constant care and encouragement from Adonai House. Thank you, Adonai House, for everything you do. May God bless the incredible work you are doing! "
""Adonai House has been a tremendous help to me and my children. It has given us a second chance at life when I was ready to give up. I am deeply thankful for meeting Kasey, as she restored happiness in both my children and me. When I first met her, I felt empty, lost, and alone. But Adonai House assured me that I was not alone, and that they would be with me every step of the way. There were times when I would worry about what tomorrow would bring – whether we'd be left in the dark due to lack of electricity, or whether we’d go to bed on an empty stomach because I had to pay school fees and take care of other responsibilities. But those days are behind us, and I am so grateful to Adonai House for that. I am no longer depressed because I know I am not alone. Thank you to Adonai House for being there when we needed it most. In today's world, it’s rare to find someone like Kasey – someone who is not self-centered or selfish, but who always prioritizes the needs of others. May God bless you all. Thank you." "
